THE TRIP
We take up to 6 people per trip on the Tai Ryo and the cost is $450 per person. We prefer that you attempt to gather a group of your own friends to share the experience. It make's it much more rich and meanignfu
l when you experience something like this with your closest fishing buddies. You will talk about it again and again... that is until you go again. But please be advised, I'm am one of the most famous fishermen in this area and I have a long list of regualr and VIP clients that keep me relatively busy so in most cases you can't book a trip for several months. But you never know when someone has to cancel so it is worth an ask if you just found us and have ana itch to get to it X-treme style! So let's get right to it.
We offer two trips, depending on weather conditions, time of year, and regulations of the fisheries. Departure times may vary from a 3 am, day trip, or 5 pm, night trip. The trips last approximately 18 hours, depending upon the conditions.
The Tai Ryo is also a custom built vessel by fishermen to withstand the rigors of the Gulf of Mexico. We go out anywhere in the Gulf up to 200 miles.
We guarantee a minimum of 200 lbs of fish, for the group (this means you stay within your bag limit but have larger fish). All you need to bring is a towel and a change of clothes, and some sandwiches (if you request we will get your food for you also). We take care of the rest, i.e., fishing equipment, tackle, bait, drinks, fish, and of course, fun.
You may bring beer, no alcohol or any illegal substances whatsoever! You will be required to sign a waiver before boarding the vessel. This waiver allows us to search your personal items for electronic devices and illegal substances.
These are commercial charter fishing vessels, we take you out, teach you, show you what we do for a living, and what fishing techniques we use. This is the compilation of over 50yrs of experience fishing the Gulf of Mexico.
It is a rough trip, we do not take women (due to no facilities or privacy), or children under 12, or under 80lbs.
